ESTEP emphasised on the importance of European work on norms and Standards. Therefore, ESTEP started to work towards standardisation in 2022. The work of ESTEP is performed complementary with existing national standardisation bodies, like for example VDEh, Germany. The ESTEP Focus Groups are actively collecting feedback on standardisation topics and needs among all members. Several topics have been identified to be further developed towards standardisation by ESTEP and the national standardisation bodies.
